Our Founding

Carver Community Center of Florala was formally established in 2000 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of Carver Junior High School. Rooted in  history as a segregated school for Black students, the center has transformed into a unified community space that now serves all residents of Florala honoring its past while building a stronger, more connected future.
